   Helpful Tips for Booking a FAM:
  • FAMs are exclusively for agents. Always identify yourself as a travel agent with InteleTravel.com.
  • No commission paid on FAMS or Agent rates.
  • Contact FAM providers at the phone number or email address listed in the offering.
  • Suppliers may ask what agency you represent. You're an independent representative of InteleTravel. Our IATA # is printed on your ID Card. Your PIN is for internal purposes only.
  • If you're not traveling alone, ask about companion rates.
  • Some FAMs require that you be listed with, or have an ID card, from IATAN or CLIA. Make sure you have proper credentials.
Professional Rewards:
Because Agents travel a lot and use personal experiences to inspire others, vendors create programs encouraging Agents to learn about their facilities. Knowing that Agents will refer and book future customers, some offer heavily discounted rates and packages to professional Agents, often referred to as FAMS (Agent Familiarization Trips).

Some FAMs are reserved for Agents who've proven their ability to sell travel. InteleTravelers are accredited by an IATA endorsed agency. The IATA List or ID card is for Agents who meet qualifications such as: being at least 18 years of age, minimum of $5,000 in commissions (about $100,000 to $120,000 in travel sales).
